<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Hurricane Rita weakened to a Category 3 storm today as it continued its trek toward Texas. Landfall is expected overnight, with the possibility of strengthening to Category 3 on the way. Rita is moving slowly, meaning some areas will experience hurricane-force winds for as long as sixteen hours. Twenty to thirty foot storm surges and 25 inches of rain are possible. <br/>
